Qualtrics Resources

Qualtrics offers self-guided trainings for their features such as setting up surveys and other basic needs:

 

Instructions to access the courses:

  • First the user needs to sign into their Qualtrics account to make sure it is active. They will use their UC Merced SSO credentials at this URL to sign in: https://ucmerced.az1.qualtrics.com
  • Next, the user needs to click the following URL: https://basecamp.qualtrics.com/page/learn-to-use-qualtrics-research-core
  • The user will now select the training they want to take. We recommend "Configuring Your Research Project" to start off, but they will need aspects from many of the other videos in order to be familiar with the tool. Click on one of the trainings.
  • Click "Register" on the next window that opens.
  • Select "Qualtrics Credentials" when asked for "sign in method".
  • Select "Sign in with SSO" at the bottom of the pop up.
  • When asked for Organization ID, enter "ucmerced" and then click "continue".
  • The normal UC Merced SSO will show up. Enter your UC Merced credentials.
  • Finally, the user will be able to take the training courses.
  • Note: In order to successfully utilize a survey project... After completing "Configuring Your Research Project", we recommend the user completes "Customizing Your Research Project", "Sharing Your Research Project", and "Collecting Research Feedback" at a minimum. To be best equipped for interpreting the results of a survey project, the user should also complete "Understanding Your Research Feedback" and "Reporting Your Research Feedback".

 

Group Libraries

A Group Library on Qualtrics allows you to designate a group of people at UC Merced which will be able to access the resources saved in a group library. Notably, they will be able to use the contact lists, the saved email templates or other types of templates, and the survey projects saved in the shared group.
 
Notes:
  • You must be a group owner to request edits for an existing page
  • Group members must have qualtrics accounts
  • Group members must be affiliated with UC Merced (must have UCMNetID)
