The Faculty and Academic Appointee Experience Survey is the first climate survey effort for this population since 2018 and is part of a larger effort to create a systematic process for collecting and using campus climate/experience survey data to improve the experience of working and studying at UC Merced. The goal of this webpage is to hold all information related to this survey in one place for transparency and accountability purposes.

In the next few months, the Center of Institutional Effectiveness will complete and report on more in-depth analysis exploring the relationships amongst various factors (e.g., organizational climate) and key conceptual outcomes of interest (i.e., overall job satisfaction, sense of belonging, etc.)

A Collaborative Partnership
The Campus Experience Work Group (CESW) leading this effort is sponsored by and partnering with the Academic Personnel Office (APO), the Center of Institutional Effectiveness (CIE), and the Division of Equity, Justice, and Inclusive Excellence (EJIE) during this cycle of data collection. The Academic Senate also graciously provided feedback to improve the survey instrument before its launch.
